Forms two AI alliances, reducing foreign tech dependence.

China’s AI companies announced two industry alliances at Shanghai’s World AI Conference to reduce foreign tech dependence amid US export restrictions. The Model-Chip Ecosystem Innovation Alliance unites LLM developers with GPU manufacturers, including Enflame, Huawei, Biren, and Moore Threads. The Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce AI Committee includes SenseTime, MiniMax, and chipmakers Metax and Iluvatar CoreX. Huawei showcased its CloudMatrix 384 system, outperforming Nvidia on specific metrics.
