FuriosaAI raises $125 million to scale RNGD AI inference chip production

Funding fuels rollout of power efficient inference NPC, as investor interest in GPU alternatives accelerates.

FuriosaAI has closed a $125 million Series C bridge funding round to ramp production of its RNGD inference processor. The company’s Tensor Contraction Processor architecture, designed expressly to minimize data movement, reportedly achieved a 2.25× inference‑per‑watt gain over GPUs in LG AI Research’s EXAONE platform. FuriosaAI, a Seoul‑based AI semiconductor start-up founded in 2017, has secured $125 million in Series C bridge financing, bringing its total funding to approximately $246 million and valuation to around $735 million.
