Founded in 2015 in Budapest, aiMotive develops autonomous driving technologies spanning simulation (aiSim), data processing (aiData), and AI acceleration hardware IP (aiWare). Initially creating aiDrive, now used solely by Stellantis, the company built aiWare NPUs for high‑performance, low‑cost automotive AI inference, achieving up to 98% efficiency in Nextchip’s Apache5 processor. Apache6 targets advanced ADAS features. aiWare Studio optimizes neural networks from prototype to production. In 2024, Socionext licensed aiWare to design custom automotive SoCs, strengthening its position in the NPU market for ADAS applications.
