Intel has officially introduced the Xeon 600 series for Workstations, code-named Granite Rapids WS, marking a significant update to its professional desktop workstation portfolio. The launch features a flagship 86-core processor and a strategic consolidation of Intel’s previous Mainstream and Expert swimlanes (Premium and Ultimate 1S, as defined by JPR) into a single category that Intel calls High-End Workstations.
