Qualcomm picks up major design win with Nokia

After consideration of other major hardware providers Nokia announced today that their future Windows’s based phones will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip-set. Nokia and Qualcomm have worked together on various platforms since they ended their IP dispute back in 2009.

Nvidia releases new Tesla M2090 GPU

Equipped with 512 CUDA parallel processing cores, the new Tesla delivers 665 GigaFLOPS of peak double-precision performance and 178 GB/sec memory bandwidth. Systems with M2090 will be available imminently from OEMs. HP has introduced the new ProLiant SL servers with up to 3 Teslas per system.You can read more about the GPU here.

JPR releases new Graphics Add-In Board report for Q1 2011

Graphics Add-in Board shipments increased a modest 0.2% from last quarter. Overall shipments of graphics AIBs for the quarter came in slightly above the last quarter at 19.03 million units compared to 18.84 million for Q4’10.
