Taiwan warns to brace for shortages

The effects of the disaster in Japan are starting to take a toll on the supply chain. Taiwan manufactures warn of “acute shortages” in memory chips, gyroscopes, capacitors, chip-resistors, cover glass and even bismaleimide-triazine resin, which will seriously affect shipments of iPad-like tablets. Sony introduces two new tablets powered by Tegra

Sony announced two new Honeycomb tablets, the S1 and S2 powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2. The S1 is a 9.4-inch widescreen tablet, the S2 will be a dual-screen tablet which has two 5.5-inch screens. Nintendo confirms successor to the Wii on the way

Six years after the release of the monstrously successful Wii, Nintendo announces a new console; codenamed “Project Cafe”. The new system is set for release in 2012.
