Hedra, an AI video generation platform, has received $32 million in Series A funding to expand their reach from the creator economy to the enterprise. Hedra offers a unified solution for creating AI-generated high-quality videos from dialog and image input.
Few can argue the transformative power that AI has brought to many businesses and industries. For content creators, text-to-image and text-to-video generation has been revolutionary for novices and pros alike. AI video start-up Hedra aims to expand its AI video platform to the enterprise, and has recently raised $32 million to help it achieve that goal.

That latest Series A funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz’s infrastructure fund. With it, Hedra has raised $44 million since its last fundraising effort in 2024.
Hedra already has a proven track record in delivering a unified solution that integrates story, sound, and video generation into a single workflow. Its tools have been used to create millions of lifelike videos, and now the company’s aim is to bring character-driven video content to scale for enterprise marketers and others, with a unified solution that scales.
With the Hedra Studio content creation platform, users can create professional videos by inputting dialog and generating or uploading character images, and then the company’s AI platform takes over. It processes images, text, and audio simultaneously to create high-quality videos featuring talking, singing, and rapping characters.
The centerpiece of Hedra’s offerings is Character-3, which the company claims is the first omnimodal AI foundation model that seamlessly blends text, images, and audio to generate character performance videos. The updated model, released in March, can produce any style of character—from a photorealistic spokesperson to an animated cartoon character. Character-3 provides full-body animation, emotional control, precise lip sync, and dynamic backgrounds, along with synchronization. Character-3 also supports various-size framing, including full-body shots and close-ups.
“Getting over the uncanny valley of compelling performance is the hardest frontier in video, and with our Character-3 foundation model, we’re devoted to crossing it,” said Michael Lingelbach, founder/CEO of Hedra.
According to the company, Hedra AI can generate videos up to 90 seconds in length from 60 seconds of input. It supports common image formats including JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
Pricing plans range from a free version all the way up to the Professional plan.
