The Khronos Group introduced WebGL to a packed house at GDC on Thursday. WebGL delivers hardware accelerated 3D and interactive content on the web with no plug-ins. WebGL is a web implementation of OpenGL ES and as such it has all the capabilities of that API with support for shaders, particles, dynamic shadows, skeletal meshes, and so on.
