AMD beats analyst consensus

Sales and profits up in a seasonally down quarter.

AMD reported Q1 2025 revenue of $7.44 billion, up 35.9% year over year, with $0.96 GAAP EPS. Data center sales, a key driver, increased 57.5% to $3.7 billion. Client revenue also grew. Despite macroeconomic challenges and export controls, CEO Lisa Su expressed confidence in achieving strong double-digit revenue growth for 2025. AMD projects Q2 revenue of around $7.4 billion and ended Q1 with increased cash reserves.
