Chinese firms want Nvidia to order hundreds of thousands more H20 AI chips from TSMC, beyond the 700,000 already in stock, showing strong demand despite weaker specs than US chips. The H20, a downgraded H100 for China, faces a cybersecurity probe over alleged backdoor risks, which Nvidia denies. US export controls limit performance, aiming to curb military use, but Nvidia warns restrictions could push developers toward Huawei.
