Dimensity 9500 goes big on cores, big on AI

MediaTek leans into ‘all big cores,’ bigger GPU, and agentic on-device AI.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 arrives as a 3nm flagship built around a third-gen all-big-core CPU, Arm G1-Ultra graphics, and the NPU 990 running a refreshed Generative AI Engine. The company highlights double-digit CPU gains over the 9400, a 33% GPU bump with console-style ray tracing, faster local AI via four-lane UFS 4.1, and new AI plumbing with BitNet 1-bit support, a second-gen large-model compression path, and an ultra-efficient CIM-based NPU for always-on tasks.
