Google launched the Tensor G5 alongside its Pixel 10 lineup, marking a meaningful leap in its custom silicon journey. Processed on TSMC’s N3P (3 nm) node, it’s Google’s first Tensor chip not manufactured by Samsung—representing a strategic shift for the company’s hardware production. The Tensor G5 debut at Made by Google 2025 marks a major shift in smartphone design. Google aims the Pixel 10 series at an AI-first silicon platform that emphasizes intelligence over design or speed. The chip improves on-device thinking with a 34% faster CPU and a 60% TPU boost for ML tasks, so apps start quicker, multitasking
