HTC and Imversed to innovate new VR technology

Vive to extend its reach into XR following a joint venture with Imversed.

HTC’s Vive has been focused more on VR but is now pivoting to XR as the company’s technology develops. (Source: Imversed) Imversed is a company building what appears to be the first extended reality (XR)-land metaverse, where the physical and virtual merge. It is partnering with HTC, whose Vive virtual reality headset is considered one of the top VR headsets available today. This alliance will see Vive adapting its VR technology to XR and enabling Vive to step into the mixed-reality world on pretty solid footing.
