Intel nukes NUC, Asus sweeps it up

Intel has handed over the reins of its Next Unit of Compute (NUC) system to Asus, granting them a non-exclusive license to manufacture and sell 10th- to 13th-gen NUC systems. This strategic shift allows Intel to focus on its core tasks, while Asus takes charge of driving innovation in NUC systems. The agreement ensures uninterrupted product support for Intel NUC customers, with Asus establishing a dedicated business unit called Asus NUC BU. The future remains uncertain regarding Asus’ ability to handle future generations, but there is anticipation for potential advancements in mini NUC systems with smaller and more efficient processors.
