Is Intel finally entering the workstation AIB market?

The promise of Xe and oneAPI may shine.

Intel’s 2018 plan for a scalable Xe GPU architecture, from iGPUs to supercomputers, has seen mixed realization. While iGPUs and entry-level AIBs have performed well, and the massive Ponte Vecchio GPU powers the Aurora supercomputer, high-end consumer and workstation GPUs have been elusive. Intel now teases new Arc Pro GPUs for workstations and AI, with details expected at Computex.
