Loongson Zhongke 2K2000 SOC tape-out

In 2001, the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences began to develop the Loongson processor (also called the Godson processor) based on the MIPS 64 ISA. Strongly supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the project was part of the technologically based on Made in China 2025 plan. In 2010, Loongson was established as a separate commercial entity, and in April 2010, Loongson Technology Corporation Limited was set up in Zhongguancun, Beijing, China.
