Marvell makes some shifts

Marvell has been active over the last 90 days. The company has acquired GlobalFoundries Avera business, which GlobalFoundries had acquired from IBM. And Marvell sold its WiFi and Bluetooth/BLE combo solutions portfolio to NXT for $1.76 billion. Marvell paid GloFo $650 million in cash and pledged to pay $90 more if certain business conditions are met within the next 15 months.  The NXT deal is interesting since it highlights NXT’s attempts to rebuild itself in the automotive business.
