Nvidia buys 5% of Intel, Intel buys Nvidia IP

Intel and Nvidia announced a multi-year collaboration to build custom data center and PC platforms for AI training, inference, and accelerated computing. Intel designs and sells Nvidia custom x86 CPUs and x86 SoCs with integrated Nvidia RTX GPU chiplets. Nvidia integrates the CPUs into NVLink-connected AI platforms and defines GPU tiles, bridges, and software. The companies align cache, memory, interconnect, packaging, and power targets, and publish reference configurations. Nvidia is investing $5 billion in Intel at $23.28 per share.
