Nvidia establishes superchip name at Siggraph

Grace Hopper SOC with HBM3e to power generative AI platform.

Nvidia unveiled its GH200 Grace Hopper platform at Siggraph 2023, featuring a Grace Hopper Superchip and HBM3e processor for accelerated computing and generative AI. Configured for complex AI workloads, including large language models and databases, it offers diverse setups, including a dual option with 3.5× memory and 3× bandwidth. CEO Jensen Huang highlighted its data center applicability and SOC-CPU synergy via Nvidia NVLink. HBM3e memory, which is 50% faster than its predecessor, runs 3.5× larger models and touts 3× improved performance.
