At Nvidia’s Graphics Technology Conference (GTS 2021), the company announced eight new Ampere GPU-based AUB for next-generation laptops, desktops, and servers. For desktops, the new Nvidia RTX A5000 and Nvidia RTX A4000 AIBs join the A6000 and feature new RT Cores, Tensor Cores, and CUDA cores for AI, graphics, and real-time rendering. They are up to 2× faster than previous generations and run concurrent ray tracing, shading, and denoising tasks. Nvidia claims the third-generation Tensor Cores offer up to 2× the throughput of the previous generation, up to 10× with sparsity, with support for new TF32 and BFloat16 data formats.
