Power consumption, particularly in data centers, is a growing concern, leading to stricter regulations globally. Major tech firms like Microsoft and Google are investing in sustainable energy initiatives. The US Department of Energy is investigating Bitcoin mining’s energy usage, possibly to reallocate power to data centers.
