Top of the TOPS, says Qualcomm

Since AMD and Intel declared this the era of the AI PC, everyone in PC land is tripping over themselves to incorporate AI into their PR messaging and announce a new mind-boggling TOPS number. Qualcomm’s X Elite and X Plus Snapdragon SoCs designed for PC notebooks are specified (by Qualcomm) as reaching 45 TOPS. That is better than AMD’s 8040-series Hawk Point’s 16 TOPS, Apple’s 18 TOPS for their M3, and Intel’s Meteor Lake’s NPUs that hit 10 TOPS.
