Varjo opens new doors for its Reality Cloud with support for Unity and Unreal

The immersive cloud platform is now able to stream VR and XR content built in the two popular game engines, expanding the developer base.

Companies tend to fall into two camps for VR/metaverse tools and applications. Some companies, most notably Meta and HTC, go for volume by addressing the consumer market, while the more practical route is to start in the professional market and wait for a strong consumer market to develop as the technology becomes more affordable. This is the path chosen by Microsoft, which has set a level for professional AR headsets with its HoloLens. HP has followed with its Reverb G2 VR headset, and Varjo has aimed even higher to challenge the market with “human-eye resolution” rendering technology for XR headsets
