WANTED: thin virtual reality glasses

Source: ACM Transaction Graphics   Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) researchers Andrew Maimone and Junren Wang have submitted a paper to Siggraph on ultra-thin VR spectacles they have developed that use flat-film holographics for optics. The researchers propose a design for near-eye displays as a proof-of-concept device, with a lens thickness of only 9 mm (0.35 inches) and resemble a pair of sunglasses.
