Xiaomi expands XRing into AI silicon

O3 leads broader in-house processor strategy.

Xiaomi has expanded its in-house silicon program with the XRing O3, a 3nm smartphone SoC that combines a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, integrated NPU, and LPDDR6 support. The processor represents more than another premium mobile chip. Xiaomi now has XRing processors targeting smartphones, edge AI, and autonomous driving, backed by at least 50 billion yuan in planned investment. The program gives Xiaomi greater control over compute, memory, software, and product architecture across its expanding device portfolio. Xiaomi returns to custom silicon with scale.
