He’s Baccckkkk—Mr. Aug, Virt, and X-reality Ben Delaney returns

Father of CyberEdge Journal and the first VR conferences

I first met Mr. Delaney in 1990, I think, when I was trying to figure out if virtual reality would ever get out of the military labs and into consumer’s or, at least, industry’s hands. Ben was convinced it would and made it his life’s passion, and effort to ensure it did. He had a few imitators, but no one had his background, determination, and commitment. Ben did that for 15 years and finally in 2008 called it quits and invested his energies in charities and programs for kids. But the VR/AR/XR itch never really subsided, and in July 2015 he published, Sex, Drugs and Tessellation: The truth about Virtual Reality, as revealed in the pages of CyberEdge Journal (since updated and re-issued  as Virtual Reality 1.0—the 90’s), and then he joined Greenlight Insights as Chief Analyst, and helped run their XRS conferences.

Ben is an entrepreneur and has a ton of experience and decided it was time to hang out his shingle and bring all that experience and contacts to the industry in the form of a consultancy—the ImmersivEdge Advisors.
