Jon Peddie Research reports the growth of the global PC client-based CPU units market reached 67.25 million units in Q4’24, up 9% quarter to quarter and 24% year to year.
iGPU shipments increased by 8% to 60 million units. Year over year, iGPUs increased by 18%. Over the next five years, the penetration of iGPUs in the PC segment will grow to reach a level of 98%.
Server CPU shipments increased 2.8% from last quarter but were down -26% from last year.

The increase in upsetting news in the Mideast, combined with the ongoing war in Ukraine, the trade war with China, and the layoffs at many organizations, has been a torrent of bad news in spite of decreased inflation and increased GDP in the U.S. CPU shipments are showing continued gains and are a leading indicator.”
