Calxeda ARM-based “EnergyCore” to Power HP’s Extreme Low-Energy Server

The EnergyCore ARM-based SoC launched today will power a new breed of servers. Its ARM-based “EnergyCore” Server-on-a-Chip, consumes as little as 1.5 watts. HP is the first company to incorporate Calxeda’s EnergyCore SoCs into servers announcing its design into it’s Redstone Server Development Platform.
