The title of Siggraph Pioneer speaks volumes. It is an exclusive group of seasoned CG influencers, many of whom are considered among the who’s who of the industry. At Siggraph, the group treats its members and attendees to a featured speaker. At Siggraph 2026, that featured speaker is computer graphics legend Don Greenberg. The legend’s accolades and resume are impressive, to say the least.

Originally, Greenberg was set to deliver his presentation in person on Tuesday morning, July 21, from 10–11 am local time, in Room 404 AB. Those plans are still on tap, although Greenberg be presenting on the venue’s big screen via Zoom from his home in New York rather than from on-site in Los Angeles. The good news is that those who will not be at Siggraph 2026 now are able to hear his talk through this virtual opportunity.
The presentation is open to the public and can be accessed through this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86397390941?pwd=IXGfccEJ28P9sofSuErVXh8Vt6frhs.1
No pre-registration is needed.
Greenberg will be sharing his thoughts on the future of Siggraph, in what Ed Kramer, Siggraph Pioneers Group chair, says will be one of the most memorable, pivotal, and inspiring keynote conversations in the organization’s history. The talk will be followed by a moderated Q&A, where questions will be taken from both the live and online attendees.
The Siggraph Pioneers formed in 1980, and have served the industry well through their work and continued service to the CG community, including but not limited to conference or journal paper reviews, financial support of the Siggraph mentoring program, and serving as a mentor. They are researchers, developers, artists, and educators, many of whom have been instrumental in the field since the early days. Many whose names are in the names of the technologies that are foundational and used in many fields.
